Compliance calculators
South African statutory deadlines — when filings are actually due.
Every compliance calculator here follows the same rules: results update live as you type, the formula is shown with a worked example, and the math runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded anywhere. Each one is unit-tested against published reference values before it ships.
What this cluster is for
South African statutory deadlines are unusual in that almost none of them share a date. Your CIPC annual return is due on the anniversary of your own incorporation, not on a day the whole country remembers, which is precisely why so many are missed — roughly 650,000 companies were deregistered during 2024, and CIPC began deregistering a further 800,000 from January 2025 for outstanding annual returns and Beneficial Ownership declarations.
These calculators exist to answer one question at a time, exactly: when is it due, what does it cost, and what happens if you are already late. They run entirely in your browser and store nothing.
Why "business days" is the hard part
Most South African filing windows are measured in business days rather than calendar days, and that is where hand calculations fail. There are twelve public holidays. Ten are on fixed dates, but Good Friday and Family Day move each year with Easter and have to be derived. On top of that, the Public Holidays Act provides that a public holiday falling on a Sunday makes the following Monday a holiday too — which shifts deadlines in some years and not others.
Every calculator here accounts for all of that, including the Easter computation. What none of them can predict is a once-off public holiday declared by the President under section 2A of the Act. That is not hypothetical: 27 December 2022 was declared exactly that way, because Christmas fell on a Sunday and the Monday it would have rolled to was already the Day of Goodwill.
What these tools deliberately do not do
They do not connect to CIPC or SARS. Nothing here can confirm that the date you entered matches the official record, whether you have already filed, or what your Beneficial Ownership status is. That is a deliberate limit rather than a missing feature — it means there is no account to create, no data to upload, and nothing about your company stored anywhere.
Treat every result as a planning aid. For your actual compliance standing, check the company on BizPortal or ask your accountant. Nothing in this cluster is legal or accounting advice.
